Atlanta, Ga. Insurance Adjusters Horribly Reporting Over 2,000 Automobile Accident Claims for the January 2011 Snowstorm
Atlanta, GA 30138
United States of America
Which began on the night of January 10, 2011 around 7:00 p.m. which local residents received as much 4-6 inches of snowfall overnight of over a 12 hour period turning into hard slippery ice the next day of January 11, 2011.
Unfortunately? Local Atlanta residents did not realize how much the enormous impact had made on the Interstates 75, 85, and 285 following the next day on January 11th, thinking that they could seriously and safely travel continuing "business as usual on this Monday afternoon".
Most of the Atlanta business personnel are from other states, especially the northern states of the USA. Simply stating that they are used to driving in this type of hazardous snow-fall weather. "Does this honestly make them experts on driving on slippery ice, which is also nearly impossible to walk on?"
However? They forgot to think that Metro-Atlanta, Ga. is not vehicle mechanically equipped for this huge amount of slippery ice and snow, whereas big cities like New York and New Jersey have over 100 snow plow trucks that continuously clear the roads at all hours of the day, which is very common for this cold winter North American region of the USA. Most of these big northern cities actually continue school regarding snow-fall(s) as high as 2 feet in a vertical piled length.
At the time of this unusual 2011 snowstorm in Atlanta, Ga. the new mayor reported only having approx. 21 trucks that could possibly clear the local Interstates passing through Metro-Atlanta and the also local Atlanta streets, especially for business people. The Atlanta-Hartsfield airport was almost completely shut-down because the ice was impassible based on the sub-freezing 24 degree temperatures that continued during the next day on January 11, 2011.
Many drivers were reported as renting vehicles from the airport and local organizations, just too continue their "business as usual in Atlanta, Ga." on this Monday afternoon. A lot of drivers just wanted to go home! Creating more havoc and problems for the lowly populated snow-plows of Atlanta, Ga. trying to clear the Interstates and local roads.
"This horribly reluctant business as usual attitude abruptly created over 800 accidents on the local Atlanta passing Interstates in the next 3 days" simply because so many drivers thought they could prove themselves by being experts!"
If you lived here in Metro-Atlanta, Ga. at the time of this 2011 snowstorm, you probably watched the local news depicting automobile vehicles constantly slamming into one another, as though you were watching scenes from a Hollywood movie.
"Ironically?" The majority of these automobile insurance adjusters will use these videos as evidence regarding your accident claim, especially "if you where caught on tape and injured". Also remember that Metro-Atlanta, Ga. has surveillance cameras at almost all major driving intersections including the entire region. Meaning that these insurance adjusters and vehicle appraisers could possibly have the right to view these video tapes at anytime legally requested for your present and future claim.
If you or someone you struck during this accident of this unforgettable snowstorm, was personally injured, you will most likely NOT have any witnesses (because of the weather conditions at the time and a non-police accident report) regarding this accident and or incident. Which could eventually end up in a lawsuit or court litigation as you as the vehicle driver and or the other driver that struck you.
"Beware of what you say to these insurance adjusters over the phone?" They could possibly be recording your conversation and use your remarks against you until a further date and time for insurance investigation. All though your recorded comments can not be used against you in a court of law. Your information provided can possibly lead to a thorough investigation, especially if your attorney has no choice but to file lawsuit against the other driver.
If you are forced to hire an attorney regarding this Atlanta snowstorm automobile accident? I would personally be sure that you were not "caught on tape" with these local surveillance cameras regarding the incident and time this accident took place.Unfortunately? Many insurance adjusters and vehicle appraisers will be watching you to see if you are honestly telling the truth.
