Atlanta Radio Station "The River 97.1" REFUSES to Play Any Songs by Michael Jackson Since His Death?
Michael Jackson to this date still holds the world's record of selling the most "ROCK 1980's album" called Thriller. It has sold more than 26 million albums worldwide since the release in November of 1982. Since Michael Jackson's death on June 25, 2009. "The Atlanta River 97.1" radio station has NOT played even (1) one song by Jackson, whom has been reported as being one of the greatest "Rock" Icon entertainers of the 1980's?
Ironically? This radio station here in Atlanta, Ga. still call themselves "The NEW River 97.1" which opened up in January of 2006, over 3 and a half years ago during their commercial breaks? They seem to have a repetitous song list of approx.(50) fifty 70's and 80's artist that seems to go on and on during their radio programming? Over and Over again? Which Atlanta local experts have claimed this radio station is a "Copy" of 96 rock which seems to be run by "Zombies?", but does not include Michael Jackson or even Madonna for some odd reason?.
Unfortunately, "The River 97.1 here in Atlanta, Ga. USA" NEVER recently included Michael Jackson in their song list format since his death last week of June 2009? but however played the popular 1970's and 1980's artist everyday such as: Boston, Eagles, Eric Clapton, Kansas, Led Zepplin, Lynrd Skynrd, Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Styx, Rolling Stones, The Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner, ZZ Top, Boz Scaggs, Elton John (continued below).
John Mellencamp, Paul Macartney, John Lennon, Queen, Steve Miller, Aerosmith, Reo speedwagon, Peter Frampton, Bad Company, Free, David Bowie, Supertramp, Kiss, Robert Palmer, Eddie Money, The Cars, Heart, Rod Stewart, Pat Benetar, Elvin Bishop, Stephen Stills, The Who, The Pretenders, The Police, Blue Oyster Cult, Don Maclean, The Allman Brothers Band, Greg Allman, etc. Their song list seems to go on IRONICALLY forever without Michael Jackson or Madonna?
Apparently, the "Zombie" radio station song list programmer of the Atlanta radio station "River 97.1", seems to ignore any emails or calls from listerners and only thinks about the radio advertisement which is at stake regarding revenue purposes. "Maybe it's time to upgrade this old and "daily" worn out format even if it includes Michael Jackson and Madonna?" Which it's obivious this person seems to be prejudice for some reason regarding these (2) two great celebrity 1980's singing rock and recording artist called Michael Jackson and Madonna?

Post a CommentMichael Jackson is not classic rock. This is like asking why a country station doesn't play Eminem.
