If you live in Brooklyn chances are already familiar with the downtown Atlantic/Pacific subway station. Did you happen to know that the moniker is also the name of a local band?

Atlantic/Pacific is a two-year-old indie Brooklyn band founded by Garrett Klahn and John Herguth. The "indie" classification of the band may not do its genre justice as the duo offer up soothing soft melodies, fuzzy guitars, and fantastic arrangements. Depending on who you ask, Atlantic/Pacific is psychedelic, folk, or indie.

October 28 marked the band's record release party in Gowanus' Bell House which kicked off its cross-country tour. They'll be playing from the Atlantic to the Pacific; catch them when you can.
