Attack on Acne - the Natural Way

Robert King
When you walk into a store to buy a cure for acne you are in trouble. Which one to choose? You will be surprised how many products there are available these days. Now comes the great part of this article. You don't have to rely on these commercial, chemical based, products when there are natural alternatives, some of them centuries old. Besides that they are a lot cheaper they have less side effects, are better for your skin and work faster than the chemical based solutions at your local drugstore. They seem to be forgotten so let's revive them.

Remedies for acne based on natural ingredients can be classified in different strengths and types of ingredients used. They work quickly and are a lot less aggressive as most chemical products. So for a sensitive skin these are the remedies to try. It's no use to you if a cure for acne leaves you with a rash or a dry skin because your skin reacts bad on a chemical product. Let's look at one of those remedies. You can mix natural yogurt and fine oatmeal to a thick paste, apply that and leave it to dry. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat it dry. Depending on your skin type you can apply any antibiotic lotion.

How about this one. Apply a small amount of toothpaste on the pimples and just leave it on while you sleep. When washed off the next day your skin will be clean. So where's the trick? The toothpaste is drying out the oils in your skin and this will get rid of bacteria inside your skin which causes a pimple to develop.

Oils from plants like the tea tree, lavender, rosewood and clove can be used to clean your skin en help reduce acne. These oils must be diluted in creams or lotions because otherwise they would be too strong. Apple cider vinegar is also a great aid in your battle against acne. You must apply it to your face with a cotton ball and results can be expected within a few days.

Scrubbing your face gently with warm sugar water has two effects. It feels good, really believe me, it's like a massage for your face. But more important, it clears your skin of dead skin cells which can be a cause for acne when cluttering the pores. After the gentle scrub just rinse it off with cold water. The warm water opens the pores so it's easy to clean them and the cold water closes them so dirt can not enter that easily.

One final remedy. But only if you promise not to laugh. This remedy will get rid of the blackheads on your nose. Here it comes. Take a piece of multi-purpose adhesive tape, yes multi-purpose adhesive tape. Place it on the nose and tear it off quickly. The tape will rip the blackheads away. I advise you to do this when you are alone because it looks rather funny.

These are just a few of the many remedies that don't let you put chemical substances on your skin. The results are great and fast. Sometimes even faster than chemical based cures. They are safe to use, natural, effective and can be used to get rid of pimples and to prevent getting pimples.
