Attacking a Bear that Attacks

According to reports at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24266564/ a grizzly that appeared in a Will Ferrel movie is going to possibly be killed or euthanized because it attacked and killed its trainer. My question is, what did you expect?

Just like Siegfried and Roy, when you make a living with wild animals there is always a certain amount of danger that accompanies your job. These are wild animals people, and many times they are carnivorous. I don't understand why this animal should be killed because it killed a meal. We don't even kill people that kill other people, why should we do it to an animal that has been taken from its natural habitat and put in a cage and forced to act in another one of Will Ferrel's sports movies (that would drive me crazy too). I like Will, but he does need to get a different angle.

And on top of all of this, why hasn't PETA been all over this? I mean, according to this article native Grizzlies are extinct in California and now we're gonna let someone get away with killing it. Here's an idea, how about we leave the wildlife alone and focus on getting other things fixed before we go screwing up mother nature. More people probably die from cars landing on top of them in tornadoes than the number that are killed by bears. Let a bear kill a person because he's hungry, caged, whatever and we have to kill the bear. Let some serial killer kill 15 people and they sit on death row for 30 years while they appeal. Let the bear get his 30 years of appeals. I don't know what the average life span of a bear is, but I wouldn't think it was much over 30 years. Anyway, I'd rather spend my tax dollars on keeping the bear around than feeding some criminal for 30 years, because someone pushed him down on the playground when he was a kid.
