The first website is SaveSomeGreen.com. It currently has golf courses to choose from in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MI, MO, NY, NC, OH, OK, TN, TX, WA. How it works is certain golf courses provide last minute discounted tee times for you to reserve online. It's free to become a member of the site and there are no booking fees. You can also sign up to get emails of specials or tee times available in your area.

Discounted tee times are usually available 3 to 7 days in advance. For tee times not available on the website you'll have to contact the course. Some tee times on the web site require full payment online, while others must be paid at the golf course. Tee times with the biggest savings require up-front online payment.

Once you reserve a tee time, it is non-refundable and you cannot cancel or you lose out on your money. However, my husband and I were able to change our tee time for a later time on the same day, no problem. We just filled out a reservation change request from and got a confirmation within minutes.

The second website is Click4teetimes.com and is exclusively for the state of California. This site also offers golfers the opportunity to save up to 50% on local green fees. These times are posted on the site from the golf course and purchased directly by the golfer. Immediately after the golfer purchases the tee time, an email confirmation will be sent to be redeemed at the golf course. You can book online, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. And you save money!
