Aubrey's has been open for a short time and I think they should do very well in Cleveland, Tennessee. Aubrey's is based out of Knoxville, Tennessee and has a total of 7 locations, mostly in and around Knoxville.

I had read a few early reviews about Aubrey's and was eager to try it. The d©cor is modern with more of a stark feel. I prefer less clutter, so I was fine with the lack of wall ornamentation! As you enter there is a glass room to the left, that is the bar area. You can eat at the bar or at the tables in that room, as well as in the dining room. It is probably too hot to eat outside right now, but it should be lovely in the fall.

We were shown to a regular table in the dining room by a hostess who hardly said two words to us. Our server, however, compensated for that. I don't want to use her name so as not to embarrass her! She spent a little too much time talking to us each time she came to the table. She is young and I assume she was just trying to be super friendly to the paying customers!

Once we placed our orders our server brought us bread. It was a ½ loaf of round wheat bread. The sweet tea lacked flavor as far as I was concerned, I know not to order it the next time.

I had already checked out the menu on-line and was pretty sure I knew what I wanted. I ordered the lemon-lime marinated double chicken breast for $12. Their entr©es come with two sides. I had a baked potato and steamed broccoli. The potato was hot, steamy and fluffy. The steamed broccoli was perfectly steamed, and had excellent flavor and color.

My husband, being a pulled pork fan, had the pulled BBQ pork platter. The pork was served on toast. He had the thick cut potato chips and cole slaw as his sides. He said that the pork was good, but not the best he has had. He loved the thick cut chips and he said the cole slaw was very good.

The restaurant was not overly busy but there must have been at least a dozen servers and other workers buzzing about. The service was good, other than the pork the food was very good. The serving sizes are large; you will need a big appetite or a doggie bag!

Aubrey's has an extensive menu for lunch and dinner including appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, specialty items, steak and seafood.

If you live in Knoxville or near any of the other Aubrey's locations you can't go wrong in giving them a try. If you like chips, be sure to order Aubrey's thick cut chips.
