Audi Increases Outlets to Push Sales

Audi India would increase its dealership network in the country over the next couple of years, aimed at 30 percent market share in the luxury car segment.

Audi currently holds the 20 percent of the Indian car market and the company now wants to increase it to 2011 by the end of this month. Terming their growth in the country as sustainable, the managing director for Audi India Mr. Benoit Tiers said in the last five months Audi has grown by 57 percent and the more need to be done it greater a larger market share.

Till date Audi has 11 dealerships in major cities and new dealerships will be appointed in tier II cities such as Lucknow, Jaipur, Coimbatore, and Nagpur. The company has also entered into partnership with Bangalore based Jubilant Motors for appointing dealer in Southern market. Jubilant Motors is opening its second dealership in Chennai, Tamil Nadu at a cost of Rs 12 Crore. Audi India markets seven luxury car models - A4, A6, A8, Q7, Q5, TT, R8 cars. All these cars come with the same technologies that are acclaimed across the world.
