Friday, August 3rd is the perfect time for you and your spouse or significant other to kick up your heels at the monthly Moonlight Mixer Pier at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier. DJ Rob Duren plays oldies and beach music for couples to "shag" the night away. Tickets are $10 at the gate and that does not include the parking fee. Food and beverages are sold at the mixer, and ID is required for alcoholic beverages. For more info call 843-795-4386.
On the weekend of August 10, 11, 12, at The Exchange Park in Summerville, SC there will be the 2007 Summer Coin Show. There will be over 30 dealer tables with coins, currency, medals, and tokens. The admission and parking are free and the event opens at 1Pm on Friday and ends 3PM on Sunday. For more info call 843-200-7416.
On Saturday, August 18th at James Island County Park enjoy an evening of Reggae music in the beauty of the park. The cost is only $6 for adults and free for children under 12. Food and beverages are available for sale, but outside coolers and alcohol are not allowed. The gate opens at 7:30 and the music begins at 8:30. For more info call 843-795-4386.
On Saturday, August 18th, there will be a Bike Rally MDA Fundraiser. The ride is through the Charleston area and is sponsored by HOG, although any type of bike is welcome. Registration starts at 9AMat Lowcountry Harley Davidson, the riders leave together at noon and end up at The Plex. The first 300 riders at The Plex will receive free food, a free t-shirt and pin. There will be lots of activities for children and adults, motorcycle contests, vendors and food. The price for a rider is $20 and $10 for a passenger. All proceeds go to MDA. On Saturday, August 25th there will be a Grape Stomp at Irvin House Vineyards on Wadmalaw Island, SC from 2-6 PM. There will be music, food (BBQ), and Muscatine wine tasting. You may bring blankets and chairs but not pets. For more info call 843-559-6867.
