What holidays are celebrated on August 25th? Try second-hand clothes, make-up kisses, whisky sours and more. Neighbors, silent speakers and more mark August 25th as a special day.

Don't Utter a Word Day
Ssssh! It's August 25th - Don't Say a Word Day.
Hold your tongue on this hushed holiday. Mum's the word. Vows of silence are the order of the day on August 25th.
'Nuff said.
English Channel Swim Day
Ready, set, go! And cheerio!
On August 25, 1875, 27-year-old British sailor Matthew Webb became the first human to swim across the English Channel. "Captain" Webb dove off the shore at Dover, England, and swam for 21 hours and 45 minutes to arrive at Calais, France.
August 25th has become known as English Channel Swim Day, and many natators (swimmers) attempt to replicate Webb's feet (perhaps with webbed feet) on August 25th each year.
Kiss and Make-Up Day
Have you and a loved one suffered a spat? Fallen apart? August 25th is Kiss and Make Up Day.
Bury the hatchet, and curtail the tiff. Perhaps a little peck can help to resolve a conflict and lead to relational restoration. If not, what has been lost by a little smooch on Kiss and Make Up Day? Why not try a wee bit of wooing to set a wrong aright with that special someone on August 25th?
Neighbor Day
Have you been blessed with nice neighbors? If so, August 25th is your chance to show your appreciation for the best in your barrio. If you value those living in your vicinity, why not bake up a batch of brownies, host a backyard barbecue or invite your neighbors to play a pickup game of kickball or soccer on August 25th? It's Neighbor Day.
Mister Rogers would be so proud, if we would all be nice to our neighbors.
