K-8 Back to School Essentials
KINDERGARTEN
What they will need:
Box of crayons, glue sticks, Elmer's glue, box of tissues, No. 2 pencils, erasers, Fiska scissors, tennis shoes for gym class.
FIRST through FOURTH GRADES
What they will need:
Box of crayons, No. 2 pencils, erasers, scissors, tennis shoes for gym class, highlighters, spiral wide-ruled notebook, 3-pronged folders, D'Nelian practice tablets, colored pencils, box of tissues.
FIFTH through EIGHTH GRADES
What they will need:
Spiral wide-ruled notebook, loose leaf notebook, No. 2 pencils, eraser, highlighter, colored pencils, crayons, tissues, book bag, basic calculator, ball point pens, tennis shoes for gym class, ruler with metric measurements. Extras: scientific calculator, protractor, 3 x 5 index cards, notebook dividers, multi-subject spiral notebook.
These are just some basics to keep in mind while shopping for your student. Each district has their own specific list, often published in the town newspaper or at local bookstores.
