Friends in Austin has become a bit of a local institution.
Founded in 1993, Friends is now actually held in its second building as the first one burned down in the middle 1990's. Open every Friday and Saturday night from 9:00PM to 2:00AM, Friends is open only to single women and couples. Membership, via a low membership fee and screening process is required for attending.
The crowd here tends to be in the their early 30's to mid 40's, though it certainly has people younger and much older in the mix. As with most swingers' clubs, Friends allows alcohol, but does not serve or sell it, so bring your own.
Dante's Passionate Jungle

Dante's Passionate Jungle is open most every Saturday night. Unlike Friends, it does allow, what they call, "select single men." What that means is that this really mostly still a couples and single women's club, and the crowd definitely reflects that, but that it also provides an opportunity for those single men out there who would like to go to a swingers' club.
There are are no shortage of single men who would like to go to a swingers' club, but be forewarned that typically the vast majority of couples are looking for a single woman or other couple and NOT for a single guy. Dante's is a features 6 bedrooms, each equipped with its own shower.
Probably the most notable, and arguably the most popular, aspect of Dante's Passionate Jungle is its 'bondage room', where couples and their friends can participate in yet another form of adult fun. Similarly to Friends, Dante's has a BYOB (bring your own beer) policy, though drinks are never at a shortage as the guests bring them freely. Dante's is also known for 'other' types of fun, as there is a pool table, dart board and often other special fun events.

Interesting.I have always been intersted in swinging/be with a man woman couple but it seems impossible. Allure is gone, Aphrodities (formerly Anchovies) is gone, but Players is now in Austin where the old Allure was. We were there NYE too and wow, we had a great time!
Unless you want your swingers club with that crack house flavor do yourself a favor and stay the hell awsy from "Dante's Passionate Jungle."
The building that Allure was in has ben reopened by as Players-Austin. There is a Players-San Antonio. We went for the NYE Grand Opening. It's great! Check it out.
I decided to visit Dante's one night after realizing Allure was out of business. I discovered Dante's was significantly different and lower scale than fans of Allure, Anchovies/Aphrodite's, and Friends would expect. It was not much more than a high donation entry house party in the converted half of a duplex in a residential area. This means you will probably park in the street in front of a neighbor's house. The music was kept low enough to not disturb the neighbors but how long will they put up with the traffic in an area probably not zoned for commercial use and possibly breaking various city ordinances?
Anyone looking for a replacement for Allure and Anchovies/Aphrodite's will not find it at Dante's,
