Australian Liberal Party in Chaos - Abbott Narrow Victory Over Turnbull and Hockey
Why Not Just Sign the Emissions Trading Scheme Legislation?
It is confusing to the general public as to what the issues are and what caused the sudden turn around. Why not just sign the ETS? Everyone knows that anyone in their right minds is for preventing a global catastrophe. What triggered the change of mind? Could it be because there is more to the Copenhagen Treaty than the public are aware of? I did my own survey of politically savvy people around to try to clear up some of my confusion.
Two suggestions are: one, recent speeches by Lord Monckton warning audiences of a transfer of power, that is irrevocable, from sovereign nations to the U.N. upon signing the treaty. This also includes a transfer of wealth from richer nations to so-called developing countries. And, two, recent emails between leading climate change scientists admitting that they had fudged the climate catastrophe figures to get the story right. It appears that like the Australian public, our political leaders were as in the dark about what they were going to sign at Copenhagen and did a quick double take to regroup.
This may change Australian politics as we know it. How? We appear to have two party's who are suppose to be diametrically opposed coming together under the one umbrella on so-called climate change issues. We do indeed live in interesting times...
