Come on ladies. I think for the most part we all have had that smooth talking, fine as wine looking, deep voiced brother that made you forget your name, address and mothers maiden name! I mean let's face it...women are some of the most emotional beings that populate this earth. Especially once that rush of the 'love bug' hormone releases into our circulatory systems, causing our hormones to rage, or minds to look like a splattered Picasso! Oh hell, I'm being to nice. No one is saying Amen yet! Okay don't let the brother lay it down like fallen timber in the woods! Watch ya head...TIMBER! Okay, now yall feeling me?

Please don't insult my intelligence by hitting me up saying..."Yulonda, you must be weak, or maybe you have no self control." That is simply when I ask you to send me your email address, so I can send you all some very tasty eye candy pics to show you all what a sister been dealing with over the years. Then I'll see how many apologies will be posted on my page within the following week.

O'Shea is actually a dear friend and business partner of our company, Aminia Books and Publishing. We actually met by the will of the good Lord. One day I was assigned to work at an off site lab for my company, where there was a staff shortage. After being in my setting I was working on my book and overheard O'Shea talking about her book. Instantly we took a real and sincere liking to one another. The connection was magic. After talking about our projects I realized that this woman was just healing and grabbing her life back from the man that snatched the keys out of her hands to the house that she worked so hard to own. You see, O'Shea not only gave this man one try, girl friends... she married this man TWO TIMES!

Have I gotten your attention now? Now maybe your minds will start to travel back in time to think of a certain Mr. Nobody that took stole your last breath, snatched your soul, dropped you off in purgatory; sent you to hell and then right into the pit! Relationships are such hard work, but when the individuals are never equal (finances and career) and spiritually connected... the relationship is already in danger!!! I am not saying you can't love a thug, or love a brother on a fixed or no income, but think of his values and what else he can bring to the table to help cover his shortages on a very consistent basis. Ummm sorry, throwing it down so good till you start drooling is not an option. A lovely hot relation won't do a damn thing for me if it's 100 degrees outside and you have gotten my damn electric cut off! Okay, I'm fine...sorry bout that, but I just had a flashback!

Ladies, I took time to to introduce you to this fine woman and her work, because there are many women, that live unfulfilled lives. Day after day, month after month and so forth. What do we have to show for our lives? Are we satisfied inside and out? Are we fulfilled to where our cups runneth over? Life is tooo short to live a life of nothing. I implore you to visit her website and keep a eye out for more work to flow from this Literary Divas Desk! She is MY great friend, my business partner and woman...with one hell of a story to tell. Throughout our conversation, she has even helped me face many issues of my past that still have a face in my present life.

O'Shea is currently working the nation as a motivational/inspirational speaker. Her emphasis is on domestic violence! Trust me, her background qualifies her for this hard task of providing mental and spiritual support to many women all over the world. Her talent is needed, for women cry from the wounds that their spouses/mates leave not only on their skin, but way deep into their souls. O'Shea is ready to offer support, for she knows that there are many women in need. This woman is on a mission to help scar the face of domestic violence. Her speeches are ground breaking, while also nerve awakening. The way she paints a vivid picture of her past life, will make all women surrender, pack up, leave and looking out the door for hope. "No woman should have to endure abuse at the hand of any individual! Women are here to nuture, develop and rasie this country! We are just as important as the men that we raise and stand beside of."

Her life was the blueprint of how to recover from an awful situation. How to make light of a dark situation and how to grow admist hard times. This woman will show you, whether it be through her speeches or her writings. Be on the lookout for this phenomenal talent to rise with the sunrise amongst the next generation of talented authors.

When I asked O'Shea (who prefers to keep her real name private) about her hopes she simply stated:
"I understand that what I have encountered in my life, was the will and testament of the Lord. All of that abuse, has really made me stronger and it allows me to bond with all the women I share my story with. It's not great to tell someone, "I understand", when you really have not been through a damn thing yourself. I have the scars (mentally and physically) that allows me to bond and relate with these women. I can truly say, "Baby I've been there, If I can get through this, so can you!" Life is not about me, it's about others. I try my best to give back at one hundred percent. I only hope that other women will step to the plate and be willing to share their stories. This is how we can begin to heal our fellow sisters all over the world."

In my downtime O'Shea and I took the time to talk, here is what she had to say.

YB: Shea, do you think your message in "Breathe Again" will be well recieved by many women in todays society?

O'SHEA: Yes. It shows us at our weakest stage in our lives and how we are taken advantage of. However, it also shows how we gather our strength, learn from our mistakes and move on with life. I wanted to make certain that I placed a lot of real life situations into the book, so many of the readers could relate and possibly see themselves in my story.

YB: What is the ultimate point you want readers to see in your book?

OSHEA: We all have choices. We can help ourselves and that we are not helpless beings. People should not allow thier circumstances to hold them in a bind. We are not defined by the circumstances we are in, it's how we deliver ourselves from them. Most of us place our own selves into the circumstances in which we reside. We have to be able to make great choices, but we also have to learn from the bad ones. Life is a merry go round, but your life should always evolve. If you are not changing, you are dying!

YB: I know just by listening to your lectures that you really speak from the heart. You really feel connected with your audience members, do you ever develop relationships with your readers?

OSHEA: YES! They are the ones that make my world go round. I love reaching out to them and I love sharing my life. Who am I to hold back my trials and tribulations? I walked the hard road, now I am here, so I got a story to tell. When you keep it real with people, they respect you more and they can relate to you better.

YB: Yes, I totally feel you on that strength! I love connecting with like-minded individuals. This is very important when a author is trying to build their audience. You have to connect with the readers and make yourself open to their likes and dislikes, and try to give the readers what they want!

OSHEA: I try very hard. They are the consumers you know!

YB: Yes, I know that all too well. Well your work and your literature is really making a change in this world. Please continue to do so. Don't forget to hook ya girl up when you get to the big time. Don't leave me to run this company all on my own!

OSHEA: Girl I won't! You know you my main girl. You have been such a great help to me as well, and I appreciate you writing this piece on me.

YB: Hugs and lots of love of love!
