Autism: Not Another World Just the Beginning of a New One

Awareness is Our Greatest Strength

Shelly
In the year 2008 we are experiencing anew when faced with the diabolical sentence of Autism. Though this disease is far from a newfound discovery the eyes of human beings are finally opened to a factor of willingness to perceive the truth...

Autism is here and with it comes it's vengefulness, undiscriminating and uncontrollable fear so many cower from.

Perhaps intimidated from ones own righteous belief to be afraid for what is unfamiliar those stereotypes aline the probability of unawareness. Autism is not contagious, it cannot be spread from a handshake, a hug nor even from a mere distance though from observations others tend to keep a fortitude distance when in close contact of an Autistic individual, especially an Autistic child.

Autism is most often diagnosed within the first two years of life, children whom display the characteristics: pointing for an object rather than simply ask, shunning away from affection as if the sheer touch of another is painful, an obsession with aligning a favorite toy(s) in a perfect row or in a perfect order of shapes, sizes and/or colors. Continuous rocking when sitting repetition of words engaged even a display of anguish when a simple change is placed upon their schedule, all visible warning signs that Autism is welcoming itself into your child(ren's) lives and is refusing to harbor any pleas of vanishing.

Hans Asperger, born in 1906, was an Austrian pediatrician for whom Asperger Syndrome was penned. In 1944 the first definition for Asperger Syndrome was published. Asperger discovered a pattern of abilities and behavior known as "autistic psychopathy", autism meaning (self) and psychopathy meaning (personality disease).

With little ability to form friendships, always carrying one-sided conversations, clumsy movements and a sense for lack of empathy children's families whom suffered from this uncureable disease felt as if they were given a death sentence.

Due to children suffering from Autism and Asperger's Syndrome these individuals displayed a keen ability to speak of their favorite subject to a degree of immense detail and for which Dr. Asperger entitled them as "little professors". One of the children known for suffering from Autism, Fritz V. originally noticed an error in Newton's work, surpassing limits set forth Fritz V. later became a professor of astronomy and solved the same discovered error of Newton.

Dr. Asperger never once believed anyone whom was Autistic was forbidden to live life to the indefinite mile nor did he allow these children to face the terror of the unseen force, alone.

For one to pass any ounce of judgment believing the world is best to leave particular individuals "behind" less remember where we are in society, where we would be at this moment had we have missed the opportunity to experience: Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Jim Henson and Wolfgang Amadeaus Mozart each a historic being all whom suffered from Autism and yet, succeeded. With one in every one hundred-fifty children is diagnosed with Autism, we have not a single moment to waste.

Please remember everyone deserves kindness, respect and an equal chance of surviving within the world we each share. Anyone whom has ever suffered the unexpected fate of Autism and it's cruelty these are the closest thing to an angel we will ever be blessed enough to witness on earth. Do your part in raising awareness for one day you too may discover someone you know and love has Autism and though you may become their voice they are all of our hero's!

Dedicated to my son Dakota Michael and each person whom has ever been along side Autism, you are the future. One day presidents, doctors and lawyers reach for the stars and never forget we are immensely proud to be loved by you.
