Auto Tech Classes in San Diego provide an alternative career choice for a trade that allows one to work with is or her hands. Throughout the county of San Diego, there are several Regional Occupation Programs offering Auto Tech Classes to help individuals with a new career start or for personal interest.

Several of the Auto Tech Classes offered in the Regional Occupation Programs in San Diego include the Auto Quick Service Technician and the Automotive Diagnosis Program.

Both of the Auto Tech Classes in San Diego provide English and Spanish instruction. All Auto Tech classes are held at the Vista High School Auto Shop Department located at 400 East Bobler Drive.

The Auto Quick Service Technician Program focuses on routine auto servicing such as radiator flushes, belt replacements, oil changes, fluid replacements, tune ups, repair and balancing of tires, and the repair and installation of accessories.

A professional with at least 20 years or more of experience teaches the Auto Tech Class in San Diego for the Auto Quick Service Technician. The Auto Quick Service Technician Class meets for a period of 13 weeks four day a week, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 5:00PM and 9:00PM.

The Automotive Diagnosis Program focuses on training students to deal with modern automotive systems. Students are trained on charging and ignitions systems using scantool using On Board Diagnostics protocols I and II, and TBA and Multipoint fuel injection.

The Auto Tech Class in San Diego for the Automotive Diagnosis Program is a Bilingual Program to ensure all students have an understanding of the material presented particularly since most of the manuals are in English. The Automotive Diagnosis Program is a two-part program in that there is classroom work and hands on work in English and Spanish. The Automotive Diagnosis Program is offered over a 13-week program once a week on Saturdays between the hours of 8:00AM to 2:00PM.

Both of the above mentioned Auto Tech Classes in San Diego are specifically designed for Spanish Speakers as an opportunity to boost their English as Second Language skills and due to the technical aspects of the manuals which are all written in English. The classroom contact and experience with a Bilingual speaker and instructor prepare the student for success in a future job in as a bilingual Auto Tech.
