Automakers to Debut Numerous Green Vehicles at 2010 Paris Motor Show

The Paris Motor Show is widely considered to be the pinnacle of automotive shows and this year's show, which kicks off in early October, is sure to please. Like previous shows, the 2010 Paris Motor Show will be host to numerous unveilings, debuts and new model launches. And, as in year's past, the 2010 Paris Motor Show will showcase advanced vehicle technology. Hybrid vehicles will be on display, as will electric vehicles, diesel products and much more. This year's lineup of vehicles scheduled to appear in Paris include hybrids from Honda, electric vehicles from Mitsubishi, a whole host of hybrid products from Toyota and countless other green vehicles from dozens of automakers worldwide. So, if you're headed to Paris to catch the show this October, or if you're just interested in learning more about the advanced vehicles that will debut, we've got you covered.

Toyota Motor Corporation will showcase its Hybrid Synergy Drive technology in Paris. The company's display will include vehicles such as the Toyota Auris hybrid, the Toyota Prius and the Toyota FT-CH concept. All of these vehicles feature Toyota's modular and highly adaptable Synergy Drive technology. Toyota hopes to showcase the benefits of hybrid vehicles and aims to attract more customers to consider this fuel-saving technology.

Mazda will focus on some of its core vehicles such as the Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda5. The Mazda2, the company's highly efficient subcompact, will debut wrapped in new exterior sheetmetal. The Mazda3 and Mazda5 will premiere in Paris sporting an all new 1.6-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine. As AutoBlogGreen reports, the new diesel engine should help the Mazda3 reach a combined fuel economy rating of 53.5 miles per gallon.

Honda will unveil the Honda Fit hybrid in Paris. According to AutoBlogGreen, the Fit hybrid will feature a 1.3-liter inline-four cylinder mated to a CVT transmission and featuring Honda's IMA mild hybrid setup. The Fit hybrid is expected to become the world's cheapest hybrid when it debuts at a later date in Japan.

Mitsubishi will debut it European version of its battery-electric i-MiEV. As AutoBlogGreen reports,The Euro-spec version features a revised front fascia, some interior tweaks and additional standard safety equipment. The Euro-spec should hit the European market with a low $40,000 price tag.

Of course, countless additional vehicles will debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, but expect the show to be filled with advanced technology vehicles that boast exceptional gas mileage rating and environmentally friendly design. The 2010 Paris Motor Show opens to the public on October 2nd.
