Autumn Change

Jill P. Viers
Fall is my favorite season. I love the chill in the air (what I call "sweatshirt weather"), football games, apple cider, leaves changing colors, preparing for holidays with family and friends. This poem shares a few of my feelings about autumn.

With autumn comes a season of hope

More than just the changing of leaves

A time to be put away

For the old to be replaced

Giving rise to the passions

And beauty abound

Gone are the days of the

Sun-soaked heat

Daylight shortens

Decisions are made

You've captured why I like the season so much. It does make one slow down, savor life and think about the coming winter. Every season evokes new feelings and memories :)

Nice to watch the leaves change. I am bracing for winter, her in the Midwest - though.
