Autumn Falls, Leaves Change

Seasons Change, Nothing Remains the Same

Kesha Coggins
Autumn falls, leave change.
Time passes through an open windowpane.
Like a thin crack in an hour glass.
Seasons change, nothing remains the same.

Walls erected.
When life takes redirection.
Darkness melts the backdrop of the sun.
All are gone except for just one.

Silently stood.
Too often misunderstood.
Time suddenly stands still.
Timeless like and yet so unreal.

Leaves collected at the bottom of a hill.
Scattered and thrown across an open field.
A trusted path led them slowly away.
Leaves follow and fall everyday.

Spoken through silent footsteps,
They struggle to offer recollect.
Rays of light cascade through,
Leaves fall then gather beneath the morning dew.

Traces of a place you find hard to replace.
Like love and life, autumn falls with warm embrace.
