Just as early as this morning there was another report where a teacher by the name of Beth Ann Chester was sentenced for having a sexual relationship with a student at the school that where she helped to teach at. I don't know what is going on with these teachers but maybe it is time that all parents sat down and had a talk with their children so that they don't end up with a teacher like Autumn Leathers or Beth Ann Chester where they are having sexual encounters with one another.
If you don't know how to talk to your child, take a stroll down to your local library or talk to a counselor about it. There is nothing wrong with talking to your child and they should understand the consequences of having a sexual relationship with their teacher or any other adult for that matter.
I don't feel that it is the entire teachers fault when the child is sixteen or above but the teacher is the one that is suppose to lead by example and mentor the students. The students should know what to look for in a teacher that may make sexual advances towards them. Like a student, a teacher should also know the signs of a student making sexual advances towards them.
If you feel that your child may become a victim of a certain teacher, ask to speak to the principal so that you can get the child removed from the class if you are unsure if this is actually what the teachers encounters really were. Some cases of sexual encounters could be that someone misinterpreted it as being sexual when it wasn't but to be on the safe side, have your child removed from the class.
Explain to your child that if they want to have a sexual relationship with the teacher then they should wait until they are eight and that the consequences could end up with one of them in prison. Make it so that your child fully understands everything about sexual encounters, their consequences, and what to do if such a thing ever occurs.
