Autumn Scented Catch-All Broom Arrangement

The autumn catch-all broom arrangement is charming and functional. It will add a fragrance to the room where it is displayed that is reminiscent of autumn. The basket is a great way to organize all the little items that clutter our tables and counters. The attached catch-all basket is great for storing keys and mail. I also love to put scented pine cones or autumn scented potpourri in the basket for added fragrance.

Autumn Scented Catch-All Broom Arrangement
Supplies:

• Scissors
• 4 yards fall colored plaid ribbon
• German statice
• Fall colored dried florals
• 2 mini faux apples
• Fall leaves
• Wall basket
• 36 inch craft broom with hanger
• Floral wire
• Glue gun and glue sticks
• Cinnamon potpourri spray

Directions:

1. Spray the broom with the cinnamon potpourri spray. Glue one end of the ribbon to the back, top of the broom handle. Wrap the ribbon down the handle of the broom, ending with the ribbon at the back, bottom of the broom. Cut, then glue the ribbon end to the back of the broom.
2. Make two bows from the plaid ribbon. Glue one to the center of the basket. Put aside. Glue a
   bow at the front, bottom of the broom handle.
3. Glue statice on, around and throughout the bow. Do this until the arrangement is full. Glue the two apples to the center of the bow. Glue the silk fall leaves around the apples and arrangement. Glue dried florals evenly throughout the broom centerpiece.
4. Weave a piece of wire through the handle of the basket, and around the top handle of the broom. Twist and trim wire ends. Weave another wire through the bottom, center of the basket, and around the handle of the broom. Twist and trim wire ends. I also add a little glue to the back of the basket to insure that it stays secure to the broom handle.

Decorating Ideas

Hang this broom on the front door to give your home a welcoming autumn look. Make sure the front door has some coverage to help protect the arrangement from the elements. Hang gold lights around the frame of the door for an added touch of elegance.

Place a broom on the front of a door inside your home. If you have a fireplace, a broom hanging on each side of the fireplace makes a stunning autumn display. I love hanging this autumn arrangement above a table with pumpkins and leaves framing the bottom part of the broom.

Another decorating idea is to hang the autumn broom arrangement in a bathroom. After I hang the broom, I fill the catch-all basket will rolled fall colored towels and soaps. I have also filled the basket with an autumn scented potpourri. It adds a lovely fragrance to my bathroom.
