Miles upon miles of uninterrupted sand and surf, a naturalist's delight,
Multicolored kaleidoscopic sunsets my Galveston Bay can boast,
Down by the bridge, golden beach to your left, sunset on the bay to your right,
Graceful egrets dancing in the marsh, a magnificent pelican resting on a post,
Children running and playing in the surf, a little girl flying a butterfly kite,
In a luxury beach home set on stilts, a couple on the porch dining lifts up a toast,
An occasional family fishing by foot or boat sprinkles this peaceful sight,
Of all of the destinations I have been, this is one of my favorites, yes, the most.

Post a CommentAwesome job on this, cheers.
I needed this. We had freezing rain, then snow, now bitter cold winds with windchills below zero. More evidence that its a fallen world but will one day be restored...much like the Texas coast there. Well done. :-)
The beach is just lovely...no snow for me. God bless.
This is a nice way to start the month of February...:) Wonderful!!
