The director of such blockbusters as Titanic, The Terminator and Aliens said that there would be tons of live action bonus features when the movies hits DVD shelves across America. In the meantime, fans can satisfy their craving by learning more about the cast of Avatar.
Jake Sully
Sam Worthington is an Australian native who starred in Terminator Salvation. According to TMZ, he starred on the TV show Love My Way in Australia before playing the ex-Marine who travels to Pandora. His can be seen in the upcoming Clash of the Titans remake in March 2010.
Neytiri
Zoë Saldana is best known for her role alongside Johnny Depp as Calypso in The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The famous face behind the Na'vi warrior princess had previously worked with James Cameron on Star Trek.
Dr. Grace Augustine
The legendary Sigourney Weaver plays Dr. Grace Augustine, a scientist trying to protect the Na'vi. Sigourney Weaver had worked with James Cameron on the sequel to Ridley Scott's Aliens. The sci-fi hit made her a star and scored her a Best Actress nomination.
Norm Spellman
Joel David Mooreis most recognized for his role opposite Vince Vaughn in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. The versatile actor also starred in an episode of Lost and The Hottie and the Nottie with Paris Hilton according to PopEater. Trudy Chacon
Michelle Rodriguez plays Trudy Chacon, a helicopter pilot, in Avatar. She is known for her tough girl roles on screen and in real life according to TMZ. Colonel Miles Quaritch
The Tony-nominated actor Stephen Lang plays Avatar's evil colonel Mile Quartich.The veteran stage actor was in Public Enemies and is set to star in White Irish Drinkers. James Cameron has hinted that he will also return for the Avatar sequel.
Parker Selfridge
Giovanni Ribisi stars as a mining executive who wants Pandora's Unobtainium as an energy supply for humans. Ribisi has a long line in credits, which include The Other Sister, Saving Private Ryan and The Boiler Room. He has been on hit TV shows and is the brother of actress Marissa Ribisi. He played Phoebe's little brother on NBC's Friends and Ralph on My Name is Earl.
