I like that this product is fragrance free as I can't stand the scents of most mainstream baby products. I also have used Aveeno products before and been satisfied even though they are less than natural I have found them effective in a pinch. They are great for those with dry skin and exczema.
This cream's ingredient's are; Water, Glycerin, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Ceteareth-6, Hydrolyzed Milk Protein, Hydrolyzed Oats, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Peg-25 Soya Sterol, Terasodium Edta, Methylparaben, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Benzalkonium Chloride, Benzaldehyde, Butylene Glycol, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Ethyl Alcohol, Isobutylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Propylparaben, Stearyl Alcohol
My potty training 3yo had a bad diaper area rash for several weeks and this helped clear it up pretty quickly. I had been using other creams with no relief so I'm glad this one helped! If you have had a baby you know how miserable diaper rashes can be. Keeping the area clean and using a cream as a barrier to wetness is essential. This diaper cream helped a good deal so I'd recommend this product to other parents over some other mainstream products.
Don't get me wrong, I won't be purchasing this cream again unless it's my only option. I was dismayed to discover the only natural looking product on the drugstore shelf was petroleum base but I do like the fact that this product has natural ingredients like oatmeal. Oatmeal is soothing to skin ailments and I always find that helpful. One has to wonder though how much actual oatmeal is in the product though. The zinc is a good ingredient in diaper rash creams. It helps clear up baby's rash quickly.
Aveeno is manufactured and distributed through Johnson & Johnson. So wherever most baby products are sold you can lkely find this diaper cream. I found this diaper cream at the local Walgreen's for about $5. It is less than Burt's Bees but I probably won't buy it again but it's proven to be a good fall back product.
