I got a 0.3 fluid ounce sachet of Aveeno Nourish + Volumize Shampoo and the Nourish + Volumize Conditioner. I have already written a review of the shampoo, so this one will concentrate on the conditioner.
I had been at the beach for a week, and my hair was a mess. As I backcomb my hair, spray it, and have it in a French twist, I only wash it about every 5 days. What with the sun drying my hair, having sand in it, and using more hairspray than normal, I knew that it would need some tender loving care.
I got in the shower, and washed my hair with the Aveeno Nourish + Volumize Shampoo. I figured by using both the shampoo and the conditioner, at the same time, I should see a better result.
The shampoo got my hair clean, but I knew that with only one application of shampoo, I had to have a good conditioner as well.
I tore off the top of the sachet, and squeezed the white liquid, which was the thickness of a lotion, into my other hand. I then rubbed my hands together and applied it to my hair. I then did a second squeeze of the sachet to get the remainder out. This I put on the underneath of the back of my hair.
My hair is fairly long, so I wanted to work the conditioner in all of my hair, and underneath it too. As I was working it through my hair, I could feel my hair getting softer.
I allowed it to stay on my hair for a few minutes, before rinsing it off.
I did all my normal routine of putting gel in my hair, blow drying it, curling it with the curling iron, backcombing it, and then using spray to get it into a French twist.
Without doing all this I have baby fine hair, and not much of it. I have to say that my hair came out really well. It had height, and was full. Now I am not saying that all this was due to using the Aveeno products, but often with cheap shampoo/conditioner, my hair falls flat.
On the packaging it states:
"New Aveeno Active Naturals. It is infused with Nourishing Wheat Complex, these formulas replenish lost moisture as they target the weakest part of hair, fortifying the hair shaft with protein where it needs it most."
I really like this conditioner and my hair felt great. I plan on checking out the price in the Sunday pullouts. As well as the samples I also received $1 off coupons.
A Johnson & Johnson product.
