Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15

In the 4 Fl. Oz Pump Bottle

I am having the hardest time finding a substitute face moisturizing lotion ever since my old moisturizing company stopped making the products I used to use and loved. I have now spend money on the Garnier Nutrioniste face moisturizing lotion and definitely did not love it, see my review on that one and now just spent even more money on the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 in the 4 fl. oz pump bottle. I don't love this one either. Here is my review on another not so great product.

It surprises me that I am not sold on the Aveeno moisturizer. You see I already use the Aveeno hand lotion, which I like and the lavender Aveeno body wash which I absolutely love. So I figured how could I go wrong with the Aveeno face moisturizing lotion. It had to be just as good as my other Aveeno products that I use. Nope, I was wrong, again. After only a few days of using this product I am quickly dissatisfied with Aveeno. They did not live up to their usual standard. The moisturizer lotion is too thick, just like the Garnier lotion. I do not like thick lotion on my face. It does come in a nice pump which I like. It makes it easier to dispense and I haven't had a problem with the pump at all. This is probably one of the only good things about this lotion that I do like.

I like that it doesn't have a strong sweet smell like the Garnier. It really doesn't have much of a smell at all. That is good because I don't want my face smelling like anything other than the smell of clean. The lotion isn't sticky but I do find myself washing my hands after applying it to my face. My old moisturizing lotion I never had to do that with. These new lotions that I am trying are too thick and leave a residue on your hands. If it leaves a residue on your hands than imagine what residue it is leaving on your face.

The price of the Aveeno lotion was way more than I like to spend on face cream. I bought it at Target for $15.99. Ouch, way too much money. I also saw it at CVS for the same price of $15.99. This should probably cost more like $9.99 but it is the Aveeno name and they will charge more for it. The name of the lotion is "Positively Radiant". I definitely don't feel positively radiant after using this product. The company claims that you will have improved skin tone in four weeks. I will probably not still be using this in four weeks to find this out. It also claims to even out skin discolorations. I have a few sun spots and so far it has done nothing to even them out. It does come with a built in SPF of 15 which is always helpful if you are in the sun a lot. I do like that Aveeno is oil free and hypoallergenic. I definitely have not broken out using this product.

This lotion does not make your face feel light and clean after using it. I feel like I have a layer of lotion on my face and need to wash it right off. It also stung my eyes when I applied it to my whole face. I am back to square one in my search of finding a nice, light, clean, refreshing face moisturizer. Sorry Aveeno, you just didn't get my vote for the Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer.

Hi, I also didn't like this product. It stung my eyes and make my face itch and burn. I like the daily moisturizer but will not buy the postively radiant product again. Sorry. Also too pricey.
