Watching you lie there
In a puddle of your own blood
I realize that I was too late
I wonder who did this to you
And then it hits me
Like a strike of lightning
I know who it is
I'll be back soon
I tell your slowly stiffening body
With my blade in my boot
And an axe in my hand
I return to the hunt
Stronger than ever
For this time, it's personal
This time, it was you
Hearing the voices of cowards
As they hurry to escape
Only fuels my desire
I approach them without warning
Creeping up on them
Just as they did you
The first one goes down instantly
As I plunge my blade through his heart
The last one attempts to run
I hear the whir of my hatchet
As it flies through the air
Into his back
Knowing that he is not dead yet
I decide to finish the job
I pull the hatchet out of his back
Turning him over, I glance into his eyes
And see the fear
And I can't help but smile
Knowing that I shall avenge your death
Swiping my blade across his chest
I see the thoracic cavity open
And his internal organs moving
I reach down, pulling out
His still-beating heart
Clamping down on it with my teeth
I tear at it ferociously
Until I have consumed it
In its entirety
I walk back to you
Just as I promised
Forcing your mouth open just a bit
I allow my blood to flow across your lips
When you finally awaken
I smile sweetly at you
And kiss your bloodstained lips
Welcome back home
My prince, my love
In a puddle of your own blood
I realize that I was too late
I wonder who did this to you
And then it hits me
Like a strike of lightning
I know who it is
I'll be back soon
I tell your slowly stiffening body
With my blade in my boot
And an axe in my hand

Stronger than ever
