When using an actual avocado on your hair and skin, always make sure it's very ripe and soft inside to make application easier, and ensure it's grown fully to offer you the most vitamins, minerals, and oils it possibly can. Using smooth, thin slices of avocado on your chin, cheekbones, and under your eyes has always been used as an anti-inflammatory for puffy or swollen skin. Normally, the facial cleansers and products you might buy at an every day store can actually end up drying out your skin in the long run. Slices of avocado are useful in restoring natural moisture to the skin on your face, reversing the long term drying effects of harsh skin cleansers.
Avocados are very rich in potassium, and in fact have about 60% more potassium than a banana. It's also got some of the most world famous natural oils, it's oil being used in beauty products in almost every country on earth. The combination of natural oil inside the avocado and all of the rich potassium it contains, it's one of the best natural moisturizers you can find. If you have dry hair, dandruff, or split ends, a simple avocado treatment can do wonders, leaving your hair healthy and shiny. It's quite easy to use an avocado for your hair, simply remove the outer skin and the pit and mash it in a small bowl until you get a green paste. You can use your fingers to rub it against your scalp to cure dry, itchy skin on your head. For split ends, you can put some avocado paste in your palms, and gently run the ends of your hair between your two palms until you've coated them all. Leave this paste on for about 6-10 minutes, and rinse off in the shower or bath. Your hair will look radiant and beautiful, and it will feel soft and healthy.
Using mashed avocado for a face mask is also a wonderful idea. Instead of just using slices to moisturize or relieve puffiness, you can use the avocado paste to create an energizing face mask that can be used for any type of skin and still achieve amazing results. To the paste of one avocado, add an egg white and a teaspoon of runny honey. Mix them together well with your hands, and apply to the skin all over your face in small, circular patterns with two fingertips of each hand. Leave the mixture on for about 5-7 minutes, and rinse. Your skin will be tighter, shining, and you'll notice a decrease in any puffiness or blotches your face might have had.
For stubborn eye or face makeup, you can use the skin of an avocado lightly dipped in olive oil, or olive extract. Gently dab at the stubborn spots and watch that pesky makeup disappear!
Avocados are an invaluable part of skincare and beauty, and they have been since humans began caring about their appearance. When shopping for skincare products, choose ones with the least amount of things you can't pronounce, and the most amount of extracts from oil producing plants, vegetables, and fruits, like the avocado.
