Avocado Mango Salsa

Margie Lynn

Avocado Mango Salsa is a sweet and hot salsa with tangy mangoes and habanero peppers. It is great served with pork, chicken, fish, burgers, as a side dish or just with your favorite chips. If you do not like spicy, omit the habaneros and add red bell peppers. You may use jalapeƱos in place of the habanero for a less spicy salsa.

Avocado Mango Salsa Recipe

Ingredients needed for Avocado Mango Salsa:
1 avocados, peeled, pitted and diced
4 medium tomatoes, diced
1 limes, juiced
1 mangoes, peeled, seeded and diced
1 small red onions, chopped
1 habanero peppers, seeded and chopped
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
salt, to taste

Directions for making Avocado Mango Salsa:
Step 1: Place the avocado in a medium serving bowl.
Step 2: Add lime juice to avocado and mix well.
Step 3: Add to avocado and lime mixture the mango, onion, tomatoes, habanero pepper, cilantro and salt.
Step 4: Mix all together well.
Step 5: To blend the flavors, refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving, but no more than 1 hour before serving.

Tips:
Makes an excellent side dish or a topping for grilled meats or with tortilla chips.
If the habanero pepper is too hot for you, use jalapeƱo pepper.
If you like use cherry tomatoes that have been cut in halves, instead of diced tomatoes
Don't wait too long to eat because the fruit will begin to "cook" in the lime juice and become soggy.

Warning:
Habanero pepper are very hot, when working with them, always wear plastic gloves.
