There are literally hundreds of things that could go wrong on Pay-Pal, to be honest. There are many examples and they can all be found around the internet if you aren't looking in the correct places. You definitely want to make sure that you are fully prepared to face any obstacle so that you can keep transactions in your account or through your online business going.
One of the most important things you could possibly do is to make sure that all of your eggs are not in one basket. You may want to open a business account with a traditional bank, so that just in case pay-pal does something to freeze or stop your account; you can still proceed in on-going business transactions. Make sure that you have a pay-pal account, a bank account, and a whole new bank account that is completely separate from your online business ventures.
Some examples of pay-pal horror stories
There are literally hundreds of ways that you can fall under the "dreaded pay-pal horror story" category. It is very possible to avoid most of these if you take precaution on what you are trying to accomplish. One of the examples of a horrible pay-pal story is to have a whole business depend on transactions through pay-pal. One day pay-pal may see that your account is participating in "risky" behaviour due to the enormous amounts of transaction. All activity in your account will be frozen, and you will have to give refunds to every single one of your customers so that they won't leave you bad "ebay" feedback.
Other horror stories are customers asking for refunds through pay-pal, taking the money out of your bank account, and not even returning the package. They get away with both the money and product. It is important that you avoid this situation, because it happens much more often then what you'd like to believe.
Transfer Money to Your Bank Account A.S.A.P
You may want to transfer money to your bank account as soon as it's in your account. There are many stories out there where someone gets access to a pay-pal account and the next moment; all the money is gone! Somebody may have phished or hacked into the account somehow and completely cleared your money.
Maybe they got a hold of the debit card and somehow cleared the money out of your account. Whatever the method, it is highly important that you do not keep money in your pay-pal account as pay-pal has the ability to freeze your money at any given moment.
By putting yourself in situations in which pay-pal can not ruin your life; you can ensure that you will have a lengthy and successful businesses for many days to come!
