Avon Anew Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector: Beauty Review

This Wrinkle Cream Rocks!

Julia Williams
Several years ago, I took a brief turn as an "Avon Lady." I'm not wild about that term but it is what a lot of people call Avon Sales Reps. I didn't do it hoping I'd make a lot of money (I didn't); I just thought it might be fun. I already used the Avon Anew Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector, and was enticed by the hefty discount. I quickly discovered I wasn't really the Avon Lady type but stuck it out for a year, mainly for the cost savings I enjoyed on what I consider the best wrinkle cream available.

Apparently I'm not the only one who loves the Anew Advanced Wrinkle Corrector. I sold a lot of this particular anti-aging product to my customers, and the Avon website reports that 80% of users would recommend the Advanced Wrinkle Corrector to a friend. I now purchase this wrinkle cream from my own Avon Lady. It regularly sells for $32 for a 1.7 ounce jar, but very often they have special deals.

The Avon Anew Advanced Wrinkle Corrector is billed as the at-home answer to wrinkle-filling injections. The fine print stipulates that "results are not comparable to professional procedures," but you can't expect any wrinkle cream to perform as well as a dermatological procedure. Then too, the price of the Avon Wrinkle Corrector is only a fraction of what collagen, botox and restylane (hyaluronic acid) wrinkle injections cost. Needle phobic that I am, I would never consider getting wrinkle injections, but I have a friend who works for a dermatologist, and she tells me they typically cost between $300 to $500.

There are several things I like about the Avon Anew Advanced Wrinkle Corrector cream. First, it is a very emollient wrinkle cream. When I put it on, it actually feels cooling and soothing to my skin. Secondly, it sinks in almost immediately and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky. Third, the scent of the product is barely detectable. So many wrinkle creams and moisturizers are so heavily scented, and I am sensitive to perfume. The very light scent of the Advanced Wrinkle Corrector is not overpowering and it doesn't linger.

The most important reason I like this wrinkle cream is that it really does work. Over time I noticed my forehead lines and wrinkles becoming less and less obvious, and now they are barely noticeable. The Avon Anew wrinkle cream has also softened the crow's feet around my eyes and the lines around my lips. These two areas of my face are more heavily lined than my forehead, so the wrinkles are not gone, but they are significantly improved in both length and depth.

The Advanced Wrinkle Corrector is formulated without sunscreen and intended for nighttime use. Another thing I appreciate about this wrinkle cream is that unless you have exceptionally dry skin, you can skip your nighttime moisturizer and just use it alone. It has good moisturizing properties, and I've never needed to layer a separate product over it.

With hundreds of wrinkle creams on the market, finding one that really works can be difficult and time consuming. I haven't tried all of them, but the Avon Anew Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector is the best wrinkle cream of those I have used. At $32 (and no needles!) I think it's a great anti-aging product that has made my wrinkles less noticeable. Who could ask for more?

I used to sell Avon also, it was the kids' college fund. I always loved their Anew line but I haven't tried this one yet. Thanks for the review!

Good to know. I sold Avon for a while too (didn't make a lot of money, either!).
