Avon Naturals Gardenia Shower Gel: Product Review

Let's face it---Avon has some great products and some that are not so great. One of the lines of products that I have enjoyed for some time is the "Naturals" line, especially the shower gels. One of my favorite scents is Avon Naturals Gardenia Shower Gel. It has a soft and unique scent with gardenias and lilies.

Avon Naturals Gardenia Shower Gel comes in a 5 oz. plastic bottle with a flip top cap. The opposite end has a hook that makes hanging the bottle in your shower a great way to store the bottle. It also allows for the shower gel to settle to the correct end of the bottle and ready to flow out of the bottle when you pick it up to use it.

Avon promotes this shower gel as a conditioning shower gel that cleanses the skin and leaves the skin feeling healthy and beautiful. It is formulated with a Bioseed Complex that also contains pure gardenia and lily extracts. Each bottle retails for $5.49 each, however, they are frequently on sale for or on a Buy 1, Get 1 Free.

My Thoughts on Avon Naturals Gardenia Shower Gel

Gardenia has always been one of my favorite scents. It is a unique floral scent unlike any other. We used to have a small gardenia bush at the first house my husband and I moved into when we first got married and I loved picking small bunches of gardenias to place inside the house. They were fragrant and filled the house with a wonderful fresh "gardenia" scent.

The scent of Avon Naturals Gardenia Shower Gel is not a pure gardenia scent. It is mixed with a lily extract, which makes the scent much fainter than a pure gardenia scent. However, it is still a nice fragrance. You wouldn't want a really strongly scented shower gel anyway! The blend of gardenia and lily makes a perfect balance and leaves skin lightly scented after a bath or shower.

The shower gel formula is a white pearly liquid. It lathers very well and makes for a refreshing bath or shower. I have noticed that since moving to a new area that the gel doesn't lather as well in hard water.

I have never purchased Avon Naturals Shower Gels at the regular price of $6.00 each. Avon puts these shower gels on special very often. I've picked them up for as low as $1.99, but they also list them for $2.99 each, Buy 1, Get 1 Free or two for $4.99.

Recommendation

The Avon Naturals Gardenia Shower Gel is a nice shower gel if you love the scent of gardenia. Although, it is not a pure gardenia scent it is still nice and refreshing. The shower gel works well as a cleanser and as nice treat to indulge in. Enjoy!
