Avon Plump Pout Lip Gloss in Nude Pout - Product Review

Extremely High Quality, Extremely Low Price

Layla A.
My grandma really loves Avon products and orders them all the time. That being said, I usually get whatever she forgets about or doesn't like. I have always been rather insecure about my lips as they are kind of thin, so when she gave me the Plump Pout gloss, I was more than happy to test it out. Plumping? Maybe a little. Nice surprise all the way around? Yes.

COLOR

Nude Pout is the perfect nude for my lips. The pigmentation is very good and can be built very easily. This nude is actually a little darker than your traditional nude with hints of pink. This is the perfect color for a look of naturally moisturized lips, and give your lips a naturally pinky shine. The color is super subtle, but really amazing and not intimidating at all. Some nudes look way too light as if you are dead, but this one was thought out very well.

FORMULA

Plump Pout gloss is thicker than a normal gloss, but definitely not sticky. It has a mint scent which is nice and cooling on the lips. As far as plumping... it does okay. My lips definitely look a little fuller, especially when puckered. It does last a fairly long time as most thick glosses do, but would probably need to be reapplied in the middle of the day. However, it gives a really natural shine and a nice not-too-crazy-plump to your lips. Avon may be cheaper, but the formula for this is outstanding, to say the least.

FUNCTIONALITY

This gloss has a very nice brush applicator, great for on-the-go. Since it is a nude, it will go with pretty much any makeup look under the sun and because of the slim packaging, can literally go in anything. I think this is a great gloss for any age and could really work for anyone.

PACKAGING

The packaging is pretty normal- black lid, skinny and square tube. Since it is square, it makes noise when closed correctly, which is really great for those of us who sometimes don't know if the top is screwed on all the way. Again, you're not paying for the packaging, but I think they did a nice job here.

PRICE

This is probably the best part of the Plump Pout gloss- it is $1.99! That is better than most drugstore glosses. Since it is only $1.99, I will probably be stocking up next time I get the catalogue. You can buy these from avon.com, Avon catalogues, etc.

FINAL OPINIONS

Though I find myself being pulled in by high-end products, I think it is great that there are cheaper products out there that are just as good, if not better. I am not a huge nude lip fan, but this really does do a great job of looking natural and nude.
