Awakening

Joshua
I know how you feel. I really do. Don't be afraid. It's normal to feel like you do when you are first awakening. Just as the consciousness gradually takes over after a night's sleep and your awareness of that world outside the body starts to return, so will the confusion, lethargy, and fear you feel now gradually be replaced by a new awareness, a new outlook, a calm, a peace, a clarity that you have never experienced before, or at least don't think you have.

When you are awakened, there is no turning back. So if you fear the awakening, you should take a sleeping pill. Read a fiction book. Watch a reality show on TV. Read the newspaper without reading between the lines. Avoid the internet, where the free exchange of ideas is still possible. And whatever you do, never trust your instincts. For those who choose to wake up will always be in some danger from the dream masters.

Those who choose to awaken will soon find themselves craving the Truth their minds have been denied for so long. It's almost painful at times- many sleepless nights are spent in research and contemplation, feeding the hungry mind with new knowledge. Much of the new knowledge was there all along, you just didn't know how to perceive it. Your mind is a very complex computer, that can be programmed and reprogrammed. You are learning to reprogram your mind to serve you, not the dream masters. But beware, they are master programmers. Keep always vigilant, always skeptical, always curious, and love only Truth above all things. Then they can never gain access to a well-informed mind.

They can hurt you. They can hurt you terribly. They can ruin your reputation, they can imprison you; they can even take your life. And they will try all these things if they consider you a threat. But they can never take the Truth from you, once you have it. And it is for that reason that you will live forever, while they perish in their greed. Be strong, and have faith. Stay optimistic, and never give up. You are the future of humanity, and you are not alone.
