Awakening (from Brian Alfred's Wires)

Josh Herwitt
Crows, sparrows, airborne fellows

glide without pause. Ahead marks

a resting spot, motel for a night-

then earth disappears at dusk's finest minute

as the sun waves goodbye for today.

Lines of communication

shoulder the world's pulse day by day-

never drifting, always sustaining-

as the chirps of yesterday

recrudesce with morning's coral sky.

Black streaks quiver fervently with the new day.

nice poem. This is not Brian Alfred's art, however.
