Award Michael Jackson a Nobel Peace Prize

A qualified nominator is eligible to nominate an individual for a Nobel Peace Prize. The qualified nominator can be any of the following: Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Board members of organizations who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, or Active and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee just to list a few.

At least for once he should be nominated. Even though he has passed he should receive the award at least in his name. Perhaps his family can accept the award in his place. Michael's contributions to charities were many. He spoke up for the misfortunate people all over the world and involved on several occassions in raising funds for them. His music and unique dance moves united the billions of people on a global level with so much respect. For a long time the DOW Jones Industrial Average showed a negative number on the status of the stock market. Now since Michael's death the DOW has been on the positive side which is better for the economy because all things related to him are selling. His positive impact to the economy is another reason why he should be awarded. Despite the pain and suffering he had to endure throughout his trials he remained non combative, himself wanting to remain helpful to the world and contributed to numerous charities.

Not only was Michael Jackson a well-known person he qualifies for other reasons.

Heal the World Foundation

Benefit concert with Luciano Pavarotti for refugees of Kosovo and Children of Guatemala
Michael Jackson & Friends benefit concert in Germany and Korea to Red Cross, UNESCO, Nelson Mandela Children's Fund
A philanthropist with contributions to 39 charities
and others

He was so important that his memorial service was broadcast live around the world and will be well remembered not only for his performances but his giving to the world.

If I have the power to nominate him I would. Please do if you could. Thank you.

Thank you for your comment. He might have been an odd fellow, but he was indeed generous and loving. He brought people together and that should mean a lot.
