Award Winning Pretend & Play Telephone - A Must Have in Your Child's Toybox

My son received the Pretend & Play Telephone from a friend as a hand me down. It was in great condition so I just cleaned it up a bit and gave it to my son. My son loves phones. He has a ton of different ones. He has play cell phones, my old cell phones, toy phones, etc... Out of all the phones we have spent a ton of money on, the one that is his favorite is the one we didn't spend a dime on. The Pretend & Play Telephone is a great toy phone. My son can't get enough of playing with this phone. We had bought him the Thomas the Train phone which is similar in design to the Pretend & Play Telephone, nope he still like the Pretend & Play Telephone better. The Pretend & Play Telephone plays preprogrammed messages. You can record a new message over again and again.

This phone has actually received an award. First it can teach your child how to make a phone call. Second it teaches your child how to call the emergency number 911. That is so important. You can also program in any number and record your own message. The phone has a dark colored red base and a bright yellow handle which is already attractive to your child. The cord is attached to the phone which is a feature I love. The Thomas the Train phone has a detachable handle which comes apart way too easily. As soon as my son picks up the handle the cord comes off the base. It is so annoying. We don't have this problem with the Pretend & Play Telephone. The age recommendation for the Pretend & Play Telephone is anywhere from three years old to six years old. My son has been playing with this toy since he was one and a half. He is now almost two and a half and still enjoys playing with it. He will pick the Pretend & Play Telephone over the Thomas the Train every time.

You could purchase the Pretend & Play Telephone by Learning Resources at ToysRUs.com for $14.98. It is only available online. Target is selling it for $32.95, what a difference in price. This just proves you should always do your homework. One would have thought that Target would have been more inexpensive than ToysRUs.com. Amazon.com is right in the middle at a selling price of $21.52. For $9.90 on Amazon.com you could purchase the Learning Resources Teaching Telephone Activity Book. This goes with the Pretend & Play Telephone. I highly recommend purchasing this phone if your little one loves to play with phones as much as my son does.
