Awesome August Events: Florida Environmental Film Festival

The Apalachicola Riverkeeper, an organization who advocates for environmental awareness for the planet, and more specifically the Apalachicola River and Bay will host the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival (WSEFF) from August 29, 2009 to September 5, 2009 in five Florida cities.

The festival, presented by Patagonia and organized by grassroots environmental organization South Yuba River Citizens League will feature a collection of environmental and adventure films that were created with the motivation to spread awareness and inspire a call to action among all people of the planet.

The films chosen for the festival are said to provoke progressive thoughts and new ideas and instead of merely illustrating crucial concerns for the environment they will also provide solutions.

There will be numerous environmental films to view at the WSEFF and from the trailers, which are viewable on You Tube, they all seem to be creative and unique. Many of the films have won admirable awards in their category of interest. A few examples of environmental film titles to be shown are as follows:
