Awesome Las Vegas Swimming Pools

Drew Bush
Las Vegas, Nevada is home to some of the best pools around. Even though summer has drawn to a close and winter is on its way, it would be a good idea to keep the pools described in this article in your mind. Based on my personal experiences and information from other sources, here are the top 5 pools in Las Vegas:

1. Mandalay Beach Pool

I have been to the Mandalay Bay wave pool two times since I have lived near Las Vegas. I went there when family members came out a few years back. It was a lot of fun. It actually feels like you are in a real ocean. In addition to the wave pool is a lazy river, three other swimming pools, and real sand like the kind you find on the beach (watch out, the white sand will still be hot in the summer!).

Mandalay Bay Beach is located at Mandalay Bay Hotel/Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. There are a number of restaurants in the hotel and near the pool including a bar and grill. Visit http://www.mandalaybay.com/thingstodo/Beach.aspx for more information.

2. Bellagio Hotel/Casino Pool

The Bellagio is another hotel on the strip that has a great pool. This hotel does not have just one pool but many pools. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful and it has a wonderful tropical atmosphere.

The hotel/casino has a yummy buffet that will satisfy anyone's hunger.

The Bellagio is located at 3600 South Las Vegas Blvd on the Las Vegas Strip. Call (702) 693-7111 for more information.

3. Mirage Hotel/Casino

I have been to the Mirage Hotel/Casino on a couple of occasions and I must say I was impressed. I had couple of family members stay there about ten years ago. It is still one of the top resorts on the strip.

The Mirage has two large swimming pools that are brought together by lagoons and there are several waterfalls. For the kids, there are three water slides and a whirl pool.

There is a café known as the Paradise Café that serves all kinds of goodies.

The Mirage is located at the center of the Strip and is located at 3400 South Las Vegas Blvd. Call (702) 791-7111 for more information.

4. Flamingo Hotel/Casino

The Flamingo Hotel/Casino has several acres of swimming pools with waterfalls, waterslides, and lush landscaping. The pool is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is food service available onsite. For more information, visit http://www.flamingolasvegas.com/casinos/flamingo-las-vegas/casino-misc/pool-detail.html.

The Flamingo Hotel/Casino is located at 3555 South Las Vegas Blvd. Call 1-800-522-4700 for more information.

5. MGM Grand Hotel/Casino

When I was just a young kid, I stayed at the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino. It was by luck really. You see, my father was trying to get a basic room for the night for our family to stay in. Well, there were no regular rooms left. However, the lady at the desk was nice enough to give my family and me a suite to stay in since we were staying for just one night. It was the most amazing thing ever at the time. I never saw such a large hotel room in my life!

The MGM has five stunning pools and a lazy river for the easy goers. Also onsite is a beautiful restaurant known as the Rainforest Café. It is a great place for kids to go and see all of the beautiful trees.

The resort is located at the southern tip of the Las Vegas Strip at 3799 South Las Vegas Blvd. Call (702) 891-7777 for more information.
