Directions for Awesome Salsa Recipe for Budget Christmas Gift or for Serving Party Guests
1
Pour 2 cans of your diced tomatoes into a blender
Pour two of the three cans of tomatoes into you blender. Save the third can for the final step of this fresh Salsa recipe.2
Serve or pour into jar
If you're going to serve the Salsa to guests instead of giving it as a gift then let it sit for at least 15 minutes so the different ingredients flavors can meld. If you're giving it as a gift then pour Salsa into an attractive jar and place in refrigerator.3
Blend
Blend ingredients until you get a partly chunky and partly smooth consistency.4
Add last a can of tomatoes.
Add the third can of tomatoes and "pulse" your blender so that you have both larger and smaller tomato chunks in your Salsa.5
Season to taste
Add salt or lemon juice to your Salsa to suit your taste. There is no right or wrong amount, it all depends on what you like and your taste-buds.6
Serve or pour into jar
If you're going to serve the Salsa to guests instead of giving it as a gift then let it sit for at least 15 minutes so the different ingredients flavors can meld. If you're giving it as a gift then pour Salsa into an attractive jar and place in refrigerator.Tip
Important note, this is a fresh Salsa recipe and will stay fresh for a few days when refrigerated. For a longer lasting shelf life you'll have to do some canning which brings up the price as you'll need some semi specialized equipment and a lot more free time for the whole process. If you're going to give a jar of this Salsa as a Christmas gift, I would suggest making the Salsa on Christmas Eve in the evening. Pour into an attractive jar and place a label and ribbon on the jar. Be creative with your label and be sure to include the words "Keep Refrigerated."
