Number one on my list of favorite episodes was during Season One. It was aired on May 25, 2008 and was titled "The Toughest Season." The name fits the episode perfectly because this was one of the toughest seasons for the Axe Men. This episode gave a recap of the previous eleven episodes of the season. Number two on my list would be "Initiation Day". This episode was aired on March 9, 2009. During this show, there was a new hire by the name of Brad. Brad has trouble keeping up with the pace of the crew. Equipment problems begin to pose a threat to the job, as well as, Dwayne gets frustrated and walks off the job.
The third episode on my "Top Five" list is "Moby Dick Strikes". This episode aired on March 23, 2009. There's an argument between father and son over the enormous size log that they call "moby dick". Brad, the newcomer continues to struggle on his job and Craig and Dave have different ideas on how they should handle the situation. My fourth favorite episode was "Lost in the Fog" which aired on April 13, 2009. Craig and Dave finally decided to give Brad another shot and let him keep the job. The R&R's crew helicopter seems to get caught in fog due to weather situations. Also, river currents are threatening to rip Jimmy's barge in half, so the crew try to get a load to shore before the river rips the barge away.
My fifth favorite episode is "The Axe Falls". It aired on April 27, 2009. Steve is struggling with motion sickness in this episode and is moving at a very slow pace. Equipment damage also slows them down. And after Brad was given a second chance to redeem himself on the job, at the end of the day, he quits.
