Azure Standard: A Review
A High Quality Natural and Organic Foods Supplier that Can Stretch Your Family's Budget
The first thing you should do if you're interested in ordering from Azure Standard is to visit their website. The address is www.azurestandard.com and the website is very user friendly. You will need to sign up for an account before you can view the prices of items, though you may look at the contents of the website without creating an account. As long as you have not previously ordered from Azure Standard, you can request and will be shipped via Priority Mail a complete catalog free of charge. I suggest ordering a catalog to get an idea of the quantity of products they offer rather than trying to determine this from the website. The catalog is several hundred pages long. After perusing what the company has to offer you will have a better idea of what to look for on their website.
Ordering from the company is very easy. You can order over the phone, by mail, or on their website. I find ordering on their website to be the most convenient. After you have finalized your order online, you still have access to and can change your order up until the order deadline (this is specific to your location).
If you decide you would like to order from Azure, you will need to determine a delivery method. Azure delivers by truck all over the Pacific Northwest and Midwest, and also ships via UPS to other locations. If you live along an Azure truck route, you will need to determine where your nearest drop point is. A drop point is just that, a place where Azure drops off orders. In order to establish a drop point, the minimum order of all individuals must be over $500. This is easily done when several families decide to organize a drop point together. Furthermore, each individual order must exceed $50. You can find a drop point near you by looking through the booklet you are sent with your catalog, or by contacting Azure directly. If you are interested in opening your own drop point you should call the company to set it up.
Azure Standard delivers once per month. The organizer for your drop point will contact you and let you know the exact time at which the Azure truck will be arriving. You must be at the drop point by that time in order to get your items off the truck. You may pay via COD at the time of delivery if you have not already paid by credit card.
When you order from Azure, you are not always guaranteed that you will get every item you request. They sometimes have items that are out of stock and you must reorder missed items the next month if you would still like to purchase them.
I would also like to say a word about Azure's customer service. The company is wonderfully accessible. Rather than most companies on the web, that make it almost impossible to talk to a real person, telephone is the preferred method of communication for Azure Standard. They are also very reasonable when it comes to dissatisfaction with a product. If you find a produce item that has gone bad, for example, they will credit your account.
If you are looking for more organic options that are also affordable, I highly recommend the Azure Standard Company.

Post a CommentHi Amy, Thanks for the article. I am a customer service rep for Azure, and I'm excited about the addition of new personnel to address issues such as "out of stock items", as well as to maintain improvements. It's refreshing to see the diligent efforts being made in the midst of the growing demands!
I also thought to mention that we are expanding our truck routes. In addition to the states that we have been making deliveries to, we are now going into AR, MO, KS, and OK. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
