Baby Boomers Have Developed a False Sense of Reality

Baby boomers are people born between 1946-1964. I constantly hear baby boomers complain about how both generation x and y our hurting the American society. I strongly believe that most baby boomers have a false sense of reality because so many things have changed since their era. For example, the value of a dollar has taken a change for the worst. The cost of living while pay wages remain the same. Some of them are seriously out of touch. Wake up baby boomers when you open a savings account at a back they no longer give you free toasters.

During the baby boom era life was good! It was very rare for a baby boomer to be unemployed. Jobs were plentiful! Outsourcing was a word that was unheard of. To by American was not just a slogan but a way of life. Unlike now where the American unemployment rate is higher than it has ever been. Baby boomers never experienced credit being used as criteria to deny you from getting employment, housing, and automobiles. Now in this day in time having bad credit is almost a threat to your existence. Baby boomers were able to capitalize on a strong economy. Our current economy is at a stalemate. It is almost at a point of no return. Now people like myself who fall into the category of generation x and y struggle to get a slice of this apple pie that hear so much about in this country. Baby boomers have been dominant in political, social, and economic classes. They are the people making all of the money. Most baby boomers are arrogant and selfish. They say things like "I got mine so you need to get yours." This is a terrible attitude to have because whether baby boomers realize it or not although during their era they were fortunate to benefit from many opportunities, yet someone still helped many of them get where they are now. These baby boomers are still in privilege positions as a result of the era that they grew up in. It is imperative that they passed the torch on to members of generation X and Y because if not this country will continue to suffer politically, socially, and economically.
