Baby Gabriel Dead in Landfill or Alive in Girl Disguise | Mom's 2 Stories = 2 Investigations
We know an odd assortment of theories and facts about the search for missing baby Gabriel Johnson who if alive will turn nine months old on February 3. Because the baby's mother told two opposing stories, law enforcement is conducting two investigations. One investigation operates on the assumption that missing baby Gabriel is dead, the other operates on the assumption that baby Gabriel is alive.
Investigation Assumption- Missing Baby Gabriel is Dead and his body is in a landfill.
Based on Elizabeth Johnson's story of murder, investigators last week in Texas told Allied Waste owners that a search for the body of missing baby Gabriel might be conducted at the Tessman Road Landfill, which is situated at 7000 IH-10 East in Converse, in Bexar County. News 4 WOAI daily monitored the site for police activity. This Friday, their on-site news team observed several investigators with dogs searching the landfill. The investigators refused to answer questions. It's possible they were just scoping out what they're up against.
The Tessman Road Landfill is where the contents from the dumpsters at a San Antonio Motel 6 would have been dumped. Johnson's borrowed Oldsmobile was found abandoned at the Motel 6. On December 27, Johnson communicated with Gabriel's father, Logan McQueary, who said, "I asked her where she is and she said that... she suffocated him [Gabriel], put him in a diaper bag and put him in the dumpster." He continued, "She said, 'you ruined my life; this is what you deserve' and after that I hung up on her." McQueary has not yet visited Johnson in jail. He says he has thought about it.
Investigation Assumption- Missing Baby Gabriel is Alive and is disguised as a girl.
Based on Elizabeth Johnson's story of abandonment, investigators are considering that the persons who may have missing baby Gabriel may be disguising him as a girl. Johnson told Tammi Smith that the San Antonio mystery couple to whom she gave baby Gabriel had told her that in a few years, baby Gabriel would be unrecognizable- meaning that age would change him.
Investigators visited a son of 'person of interest' Jack Smith. Jack and Tammi Smith had hoped to adopt baby Gabriel. They were in contact via cell phone with Gabriel's mother during her week-long sojourn with Gabriel in San Antonio. Jack Smith told ABC15 on Wednesday, "They [investigators] went to my son's house in Tennessee and asked him a few questions which is all normal stuff, they have to do that and that's okay."
FBI investigators had previously searched the Nashville home of Smiths' friend Janet Morris of The Adoption Place. The search did not turn up Gabriel. Tammi Smith had put Johnson in contact with Morris, who had advised Johnson to return to Arizona with the baby.
Information that Spans Both Investigations.
Investigators have analyzed the Global Positioning System (GPS) that was found in the Oldsmobile Delta 88 driven by Johnson from Tempe Arizona to San Antonio while kidnapping baby Gabriel. However, the investigators say they cannot release the information from the GPS or its origin.
Meanwhile, the Tempe faces potential layoffs and unprecedented cuts. Sgt. Steve Carbajal said the cuts will affect how the police operate. He stated, "When we have big investigations like this [missing baby Gabriel], it strains our resources." He went on to say that Tempe investigators have worked day and night on the Gabriel Johnson investigation, taking it to San Antonio and to Miami Beach, where Elizabeth Johnson was arrested.
TV show America's Most Wanted featured missing baby Gabriel Johnson during an episode that aired January 16. Tempe police Lt. Mike Horn has refused to discuss any tips that the TV exposure to missing baby Gabriel may have yielded.

Well I guess there is still a cap on how much you can reply? Anyway I read your article about the Candlelight Vigil so Thank you for the reminder. I was a stranger to Baby Gabriel until his beautiful blue eye's graced my tv screen for the first time, his smile lit up my living room and his story filled my eye's with tears, but the love I felt for him is what I wish every child in the world could feel. This whole situation reeks of desperation. EJ is desperate to hurt her ex. Smiths are desperate to get another baby. The most desperate of all, baby Gabriel, who needs to be found and returned home. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Law enforcement: please level up!!!
I also wanted to say that if Elizabeth really wanted to torture Logan and hurt Gabriel it makes no sense that she would take off with Gabriel? She would have stayed close by so he could see and feel the devestation of losing his son for so called ruining her life. If she were going to give up her freedom for prison she would have made sure he 'knew' that Gabriel was gone for good, Not taken off to do it. I feel she gave/sold him to someone & the Smith's ochestrated the entire thing (at least Tammi for sure). Wether it was to them or someone else? But it doesn't make sense for her to take off and then kill him? Only way I can see that is if LE got involved before the Smith's could follow through, she paniced and had no other choice? Why get a sitter and keep the baby up until the day she left? It doesn't add up.

After reading how desperate Tammi's post online to get a baby were and her past, I sure hope LE is looking over them with a fine tooth comb approach as well as continuing to watch them? I have a feeling eventually they will lead them to Gabriel. I pray for this baby there is a happy ending? I stayed up all night reading the articles you have posted on this site and wanted to thank you for keeping Gabriel's name out there as well as how informative they are. I told my husband within minutes of seeing Jack & Tammi Smith on Nancy Grace the very first time they appeard that something was not right with them and they HAVE to know where Gabriel is, I didn't even know anything about them (parents intuition) I guess or maybe my B.S. radar was going off? Now after reading your articles I'm beyond convinced they are up to their eyeball's in this. I'm sorry but Elizabeth is not bright enough to pull this off on her own, she had no clue what to do or she would have done it long before now and wouldn't have needed the Smith's, period!
