Every mother who scrapbooks tends to focus a lot on her children. Here are some moments that you will want to preserve for years to come when you are scrapbooking. For information on how to scrapbook when you don't have a lot of time to spare doing it (isn't this all mothers?), click here for some time saving strategies.

The ultrasound: What mother doesn't remember the very first time that she saw her child on the screen at the doctor's office? That moment can make time stand still in that you realize that the baby girl or baby boy you've been hoping and praying for really is in your womb and alive and growing.

The baby shower: Women love to celebrate babies. A baby shower is always a very special time with lots of excitement surrounding the impending arrival. Be sure to include the invitation as well as capture pictures of you with the guests for your scrapbook. You might even want to include a list of gifts.

A letter to the baby: Pouring out all of your hopes and dreams for your son or daughter on paper is a great way to share what you are feeling in the weeks before the birth. It is sure to be a treasured letter when your child gets older, just knowing how excited you were awaiting their arrival into the world.

The first moments: The first minutes of a baby's life are always hectic with doctors and nurses hurrying around trying to take care of you and the baby. A simple photo can convey some of the excitement (and relief) of the birth. You could provide some of your very first thoughts as you stared at your new addition as well as some of the things that were going on around you at that moment.

The birth announcement: Lots of parents are choosing to create their own birth announcements these days with online photo websites. Be sure to include a copy of the announcement in your scrapbook.

The first family photo: Make sure to get a picture of the whole family with the baby in the first few days.

These are some moments that you are sure to want to look back on in years to come. Your scrapbook will help you to remember them all well and if you include some journaling you are sure to remember some of the details that you may have forgotten.
