Baby Poem

"Dreaming of Teddy Bears"

ebeth

I wrote the following poem when my baby boy was six weeks old. He would always smile while he was asleep, so I came up with the idea that he was dreaming of teddy bears. I wrote several poems for him during this time, but "Dreaming of Teddy Bears" is my favorite because every time I read it, I'm reminded of that precious baby boy sleeping in his bassinet.

Poems like this are perfect for enhancing the quality of a scrapbook. I used this poem along with a cute baby picture of him in his baby scrapbook album. I think any kind of writing makes a scrapbook come alive. Poems and nursery rhymes are great to use in baby scrapbooks. If you're looking for a great way to spice up your baby's scrapbook album, poems such as this would be a great idea.

Dreaming of Teddy Bears

As Dylan Christopher sleeps in his bed

Visions of teddy bears dance through his head.

The bears entertain him by playing their best.

Baseball and football he sees while he rests.

The red and the blue team play baseball all day.

He cheers for the blue team; they know how to play!

The green and the yellow play football at night.

They run down the field with all of their might.

Dylan looks forward to each little game.

The bears always play. There's no chance of rain.

So, whenever you see him smiling so sweet,

he's dreaming of teddy bears while he's asleep.
