Finding that the high chair wasn't working out too well, I purchased the Evenflo Exersaucer Mega - Circus and would set my daughter in it while I cooked dinner. I could keep an eye on her at the same time cooking dinner and not having to worry that she would escape and get into things, the explorer that she is and all.
Originally, I had bought an exersaucer at a mom-to-mom resale at a church. The price was much cheaper (only fifteen dollars) and I thought it would do the trick. Unfortunately, I hadn't put much thought into how many toys would come on the exersaucer and how interested the exersaucer could keep her. The used exersaucer I bought didn't have many toys and the colors weren't all that appealing. I figured out that not all exersaucers are created alike.
So, I did my homework online (as I always do before buying anything) and searched for the best exersaucer for my daughter for the right price for me. I came across the Evenflo Exersaucer Mega Circus and I really liked all the brightly colored toys and the 12 songs and flashing lights. The fact that you can buy different toys ($3-$6 a toy) to replace the ones on it, so your baby doesn't get bored was a bonus. Plus, there are tall toys that baby can pull down to her mouth so she can explore them with her gums. The Evenflo Exersaucer Mega Circus is fun, brightly colored, with many interesting toys to play with. It really appealed to me and I knew it would appeal to her and many other children.
Besides being visually and intellectually stimulating, the Evenflo Exersaucer Mega Circus has a built-in carry handle, only weighs 15 pounds, and has adjustable height positions. It rocks, spins and bounces with the baby and has a removable, dishwasher-safe snack tray (yes, I've used it as a makeshift feeding chair in the living room), and the seat is made of nylon so it's easy to wipe off any spills with a wet rag. The Evenflo Exersaucer Mega Circus easily collapses into a flat circle and assembling it wasn't too difficult for my husband.
The Evenflo Exersaucer Mega Circus is made for children with enough head control and older than four months. Compared to other exersaucers on the market, the Mega Circus is reasonably priced (retails at sixty dollars) and is full of bright colors and different textures, spinning wheels, a teething toy, and more. It's cheerful and interesting and allowed me to get a little done around the house without her crying for me from the other room or balefully glaring at me from her highchair. It kept her engaged and focused on the toy so I could focus for a few minutes on dinner or folding the laundry. My advice when buying an exersaucer is to get something that will capture and captivate your baby's attention, in addition to having a good price tag. I feel the Evenflo Exersaucer Mega Circus was well worth it.
