The best thing I did for my son was buy the Johnsons Shampoo with Natural Lavender 20 oz /591 ml For Baby. I use this every time I wash my son's hair. What I love about this product is that I don't have to worry about getting the shampoo in his eyes. It is made by Johnson and Johnson, the same company who makes No More Tears. If the shampoo gets in his eyes, which, it normally does, it won't burn or sting and make his eyes tear. What a wonderful product.

You see, my son hates the bath. He refuses to sit down and let me wash his hair properly. I have to wet his hair with a washcloth and then lather his hair up with shampoo. I then have to use a cup to rinse the soap out of his hair. When I do this, the water and the soap goes straight down his face, right in his eyes. Of course I tell him to close his eyes, but he is only two years old. He opens them up as soon as he feels the water start running down his face. There is no way I can prevent him from getting the soap in his eyes. I have tried everything. That is why I love this product so much. I don't have to worry about his eyes burning anymore.

This Johnsons shampoo has a natural lavender ingredient. I personally use the lavender products for my own shower and I know how nice they make my skin feel. I figured they would make my son's skin feel nice too. The shampoo really lathers up well. You only need to use a tiny drop to wash a full head of hair. I should know because my son has thick hair just like me. If you use too much then you will have a bath full of bubbles, which isn't the worst thing in the world. Sometimes I will even use the shampoo as body soap. Soap is soap, especially the lavender one, it's great.

Now that my son has gotten used to the soapy feel on his head, he likes to work the shampoo into his hair by himself. We pretty much make a mess at bath time. The shampoo has a nice feel to it. It is not thin and runny, it is nice and smooth. It even has a purple tint to it because of the lavender in the product. It does take a lot of water to rinse the soap out since it does get extremely bubbly. It will take about 4 - 5 rinses to make sure all of the soap is out of his hair. I have never seen any soapy residue with this product. You can't go wrong with a Johnson and Johnson baby product. It never disappoints me.

The lavender ingredient is supposed to have a calming and soothing effect on your child. I am not so sure this is true. I do feel that sometimes the bath will calm my son down but since he hates the bath so much, it is hard to tell. It has a soothing effect on me once the bath is over though.

The lavender ingredient adds a clean and refreshing smell to my son's hair. The smell can last up to three days. By the third day it is time to wash his hair again. In the summer I wash it every day and the shampoo doesn't dry out his hair. In the winter I only wash his hair every three days. My son always receives compliments because his hair smells so good and looks thick, never greasy.

I highly recommend purchasing the Johnson Lavender baby shampoo. You could purchase it at Diapers.com for $5.49. Amazon.com is selling it for $5.59. I would go to Target and buy it there. You don't have to worry about paying the shipping costs if you go directly to the store. The bottle itself is clear with a purple tint. One bottle has lasted 6 months already. It has an easy pop open and close top. My son likes to play with the bottle in the bath and hasn't been able to open it himself, which is a great thing.
