Planning a baby shower can be a bit tedious and stressful. Planning a baby shower should be fun and exciting. Baby shower favors and games are a HUGE part of showers now. My mother-in-law , best friend and I planned my baby shower. These are a few ideas and tips for favors and games that I used at my own baby shower.
Lollipop Favors
You can go to your local craft store and pick up candy molds. I used baby molds. They had diaper pins, rattles, rocking horses and ducks. Then you need to get some melting chocolates. They make all sorts of colors to go with any theme. Then you just need some lollipop sticks and some bags to put the lollipop's in. The directions to melt the chocolate are on the back of the bag. Then just pour the chocolate in the molds, freeze them, pop them out and place them in the bags.
Rattle Favors
As long as you know how many guests you are going to have this favor will work out great. All you need is baby rattles and some ribbon which you can get at any local department store. This is a favor meant to last a while. All you have to do is wrap whatever color of ribbon you chose around the rattle, Tie it off with a nice bow and then write the name of whos ever baby shower it is and the date. This really makes for a nice keepsake favor.
Mommy to be belly game
This game went over very well at my baby shower. You can use any type of string, ribbon or yarn. Have the mommy to be stand up and let everyone see her beautiful belly. Then have someone go around to each guest holding out the yarn. Then each guest try's to figure out how much yarn it would take to go around the mommy's belly, you then cut it where ever the guest decides. Once you have done that for every guest have someone help mommy to measure each strand around her belly, the closest one to the right length wins.
All about mommy game
A few days before the shower have someone ask the mommy some questions about her that won't be too hard for friends and family to figure out. They can be True or False or multiply choices questions however you choose. The one guest that gets the most answers correct wins.
Well all of you soon to be mommies or hostesses planning a baby shower. Hopefully these ideas will help you along or adventure to planning a baby shower. Or they might at least inspire new ideas.
