Bachelorette Ashley & the Men Tell All

How disappointed were we all that Bentley didn't show his ugly mug on The Men Tell All last night? I guess we shouldn't have expected it. He would have been crucified had he been there, and he can bully a girl, but I don't think he could handle much beyond that. The big jerk. Hearing his degrading words again last night, just stirred up our disgust for him again. My heart really went out to Ashley when you could see how those hateful words still stung.

It was interesting recapping all that had happened on Ashley's season. I had almost forgotten about Tim the drunk guy. He looked adequately embarrassed and remorseful, so we forgive him. He's probably suffered enough by kicking himself for a missed opportunity, as well as taking a lot of flack from people in his life. So we'll leave the guy alone.

Did you guys catch a glimpse of bad boy Justin Rego sitting in the audience? I was hoping they would talk to him, but he probably was glad they didn't. Damn he's cute. See? Even I am not immune to the bad boy syndrome.

They really focused on how much Ryan P. got on everyone's nerves. Even though I'm not a fan of his, and I think he's a bit creepy, and I'm SO hoping they WILL NOT choose him as the next Bachelor, I think it was sort of unfair that he was singled out to be ridiculed as much as he was. He didn't really deserve that.

Now masked man Jeff. He's a guy that deserved some ridicule. He brought it on himself. I think all the guys at the mansion, and all of us sitting at home watching, was just plain embarrassed for the guy. First of all, the mask really didn't hide much of his face. Second of all, I remember how Ashley was less than impressed when he did finally take it off. I think she even sent him home that night. Oh well. So much for the mystery Jeff was trying to conjure up. The only mystery there was why did he think that was a good idea?

And talking about wanting to crawl in a hole and die from humiliation, we watched William putting his fingers in his ears last night because he didn't even want to hear his own words. I don't think William is a bad guy. He's just not a very bright guy. He didn't think how his words would hurt someone else. He was more interested in trying to fulfill his dream of being a comedian. Ashley dodged a bullet on that one though. If William was that oblivious to her feelings during the Bachelorette process, just think how uncaring and dimwitted he would be if they moved forward and he got comfortable with her. Yeah, William, you have some maturing to do before you're ready for a woman.

Did you hear how much adulation Ames got from the women in the audience last night? I was a little surprised at that. Ames is a likable guy, but he's still quirky. It's hard to explain. I might say he seems like an android, but then I do like him, so those two things don't mix. That's why Ames has us all confused. I'll be interested to see how his demeanor is on The Bachelor Pad. Maybe we'll see a whole new side of him.

It was fun to see Ali and Jason and Deanna sitting up there talking to Chris Harrison and Ashley. They all have an insider's knowledge as to how Ashley is feeling and they all gave their support. It was funny when Jason mentioned how Deanna dumped him.

Loved watching the scenes of Ashley with both Ben and J.P., and of course the blooper scenes are always hilarious. Ashley couldn't go wrong with either of these last two guys though. They both seem sincere and genuine and properly smitten with her. She really needs that. With all the hurt she's been through, she deserves to have a guy adore her.

I can't wait for tonight to see who Ashley chooses. I like Ben and my daughter likes J.P. Last night, at the end of The Men Tell All, almost at the same time, my daughter and I texted each other. Hers said that she now thinks Ashley will choose Ben, and mine said that I now think Ashley will choose J.P. The producers did their job well, at least about this. We are perfectly confused as to who the final man will be who wins Ashley's heart. And I do hope we see the happy couple on After The Final Rose.
